Be prepared for the upcoming influenza season!
The influenza season is starting soon in Europe, whereas in Australia, the season is already finishing. According to the surveillance report by the Department of Health and Aged Care published by the Australian government in August, the influenza season in Australia started this year earlier than usual and peaked about three times higher than average1. Although the influenza season in the southern hemisphere does not directly predict the severity of the following season in the northern hemisphere, it may be a warning sign to be prepared in Europe.
Point of care testing aids in the management of patients with respiratory symptoms
Fast and reliable point of care (POC) testing provides substantial benefits in the management of patients with respiratory symptoms during flu season. Aidian offers a wide selection of different POC tests that guide antibiotic treatment decisions of patients with bacterial respiratory infections and aid in the diagnosis of influenza and other common viral respiratory infections.
QuikRead go®
QuikRead go CRP POC tests aid in the initial diagnosis and management of lower respiratory infections. CRP POC tests guide rational antibiotic prescribing and prevent unnecessary antibiotic use that causes antimicrobial resistance.
